de-stress and a balm for our minds.

Taking a walk increases our inhalations and exhalations in turn releasing endorphins that trigger a natural opioid effect making us feel more optimistic and overall more joy

Studies have shown the front region of our brain - the hypothalamus, which controls temperature, thirst and hunger as well as affecting sleep and emotions, that walking encourages this part of our brain to manufacture oxytocin - also known as the love hormone.

Walking in nature has been shown to decrease rumination.

Going for a walk in green space is crucial for good mental health.
